1969-De-Tomaso1969 De Tomaso Mangusta-Mangusta

After driving OSCA race cars for the Maserati brothers, racing driver Alejandro De Tomaso set about designing his own breed of supercar and in partnership with Ford developed this, the quite beautiful De Tomaso Mangusta.

Said to have been based on the Ford GT 40 concept and designed by Italian coach builder Ghia (responsible for many Ford projects over the years), the Mangusta’s 0-60 was an impressive 6.3 seconds and had a top speed of 155mph. Valued at between €120.00 – €160.00 the one in these pictures is one of the last ‘original’ Mangusta’s still in existence.
