Kawasaki W650 By CRD

The Café Racer Dreams Design Team from Spain had been in love with the idea of customizing the W650 for a very long time. They stopped producing the Kawasaki W650 By CRD in 2008, but many pre-owned bikes can still be found with a little ingenuity at very affordable prices.  Extra customized parts are very easy to locate, too.

This design was originally constructed from the 2003 model. The first modification was the replacement of the gas tank with one from an older model Honda CG125. The rear suspension was made more rigid by modifying an old set of steering rods rescued from an old Ford Gran Torino. To compensate, the seat was refitted with a more plush and customized choice.

The Kawasaki W650 By CRD boasts footpegs by Tarozzi, a stumpy rear exhaust, and K&N filters to manage the extra shake. To lower the stance, the front suspension was slightly dropped to give the bike a “mean machine” appeal. By relocating the ignition to the right, the end result is a clean design that shows off the ultra-low handlebars. Knobby Continental TKC 80’s where chosen for their reputation of high performance handling on asphalt surfaces.

This bike is a combination of retro good looks and modern durability making it a popular choice among bike enthusiasts around the world and pretty solid King of Fuel favorite!
