This video “Le Mans – 100 Years of Passion” is the story of the World’s most famous and spectacular endurance race; the 24 Hours of Le Mans (24 Heures du Mans). Held each year since 1923 close to the town of Le Mans in France and on the Circuit de la Sarthe, a mix of purpose built circuit and public roads. The daddy of endurance racing and possibly the toughest test of any racing drivers metal, Jacky Ickx once said about Le Mans: “Victory without Risk is a Triumph without Glory” and “The best victories come after a tough battle”

With interviews from Le Mans legends like Jakcy Ickx, Derek Bell, Sterling Moss and Former F1 driver Mark Webber, this film talks about everything from the catastrophic 1955 Le Mans disaster in which 83 spectators were killed by Pierre Levegh’s Mercedes crashing into the barrier causing large chunks of debris to rip through the crowd to the domination era of the Diesel Audi R10’s.
