Maria Riding Company- Yamaha XS650 EVA

The first custom motorcycle made by the Maria Riding Company based out of Lisbon, Portugal, Eva started life as a Yamaha XS650. In many respects the perfect donor for bike build like this, which is probably why the price used of XS650’s has been shooting right up lately.

A nut and bolt, screw-by-screw re-build was undertaken by the talented team at the Maria Riding Company, to give this beauty bags and bags of personality. Parts were not easy to come by also for some reason in Lisbon, so the guys did a great job bringing this build all together with such style and quality.

Touches like the colorways make this one of the most engaging customs builds we have seen for a long time. The seat color, continued through the tank lines to the headlamp. The white springs on the rear shocks and the white handlebar grips soften the feel of the bike, making it look more like a tamed tiger rather than a wild monster.

Losing the airbox and side panels opens the rear up but what really finishes this build off is the addition of the Firestone Deluxe tires. A bold choice given the style of the bike, but one that gives it a chucky, purposeful feel. A feel that makes you want to just jump on a ride it into the Portuguese sunset. Eva was recently for sale on ebay for around $10, 000 so expect to pay the same or more for a similar model.
