New Jack - 1982 Suzuki Katana by Icon 1000

Icon 1000’s latest bike, the New Jack is the reimagination of the 1982 Suzuki Katana. Built in portland, the bike uses the full extent of Suzuki kits, custom components and some extra Honda parts.

The Katana had its twin shocks moved to a mono-shock location but kept them as a pair. The Yokes are from a CBR 929 Fireblade with the forks from the 954. The wheels are from a VTR RC51 SP2 and have been updated to Pro-Lites. A 1200cc Bandit power plant replaced the 1100cc motor, with q custom exhaust implemented. The frame was strengthened to accommodate the larger engine.

The large square headlights are replaced with an oil cooler, above that a clear fly screen is fitted giving a great look to front of the bike. The tank of the Katana is made to look like a Jerry Can, and a single seat rests above. The bike gives the theme of endurance which it achieves very nicely with the Silver finish.
