1975 AMC Pacer

If you’re around my age and born in the 1970’s then you’re likely to have first seen the original AMC Pacer in the movie Wayne’s World. Or perhaps you may have a seen a few still meandering along the highways, but either way, you would have been asking yourself “what the hell”?

If you are lucky to have been old enough to buy yourself one of these while they were still being made from 1975 to 1980 then you will almost certainly be delighted to take a trip down memory lane and watch this amazing short film; ‘The Unfortunate History of the AMC Pacer’

Featuring not only the history of the AMC Pacer it also gives a great insight to life at AMC and the trials and tribulations of America’s smallest car manufacturer of the day. With interviews from the AMC Director of Interior Design, it’s fascinating to see how the world’ first ‘Wide Small Car’ was conceived, designed and built and then purchased at an alarmingly fast rate by the American public.

It’s only 25 minutes long and really worth a watch giving an amazing insight into what was a brilliant car company and what turned out to unfortunately be an over ambitious project.
