50 Years of the Porsche 911 – The 911 50 Anniversary Edition

The legendary German giant the Porsche 911 is turning 50 years old this year and to mark its birthday, Porsche are producing a 50th anniversary edition, Limited to a rather clever 1963 cars.

With a 3.8 liter 6-cylinder engine delivering 430bhp and a super sexy Carrera S Powerkit including a sport exhaust system with polished stainless pipes this baby should be in every 911 fan’s dream garage.

0-60mph in a fierce 4.2 seconds and with a top speed of 188mph, the anniversary 911 of course has some impressive standard efficiency-enhancing technologies such as the Porsche Auto Start Stop function, intelligent thermal management, and vehicle electrical system recuperation.

Inside and keeping true to its roots the anniversary edition 911 has green pointers on its black instruments, the same as the original, for clear readability and optimum functionality. The 5-dial instrument panel arrangement again is unchanged even with its left-hand ignition lock, a tribute to the Le Mans start where drivers found it quicker and easier to use after their sprint start to the car.

The final finishing touches are the “911 50” badges on the seats, dash and door entry guards and the limited edition number on the glove box, ensuring your place in Porsche 911 history.
