Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

There is lots of buzz round at the moment about the beautiful Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the quickest and most powerful production Ferrari ever built! With a 6.3 liter V12 naturally aspirated 12-cylinder engine it produces a Maximum power output of 740bhp. That’s nearly 120bhp more than it’s predecessor the Ferrari 599GTB (and 70kg lighter), giving the F12 the biggest increase in power output ever.

There are a lot of ‘ever’s’ in the first paragraph, quite simply because this really is pushing some boundaries and doing lots of things that have never been done before by Ferrari, not ever.

The brand new spaceframe chassis and bodyshell of the F12 Berlinetta are completely brand new made from an impressive 12 different aluminum alloys, some of which have never been used before by Ferrari or indeed the entire automotive industry.

Costing a staggering $360,000 you’re not likely to see to many of them on the highway, but when you do, you won’t miss it. In the flesh the F12 looks awe-inspiring and with so much road presence you’re likely to see other vehicles moving out of its way, just out of sheer respect.

Jointly developed by the Ferrari test drivers and Ferrari’s current Formula 1 driver line up; Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, the F12 Berlinetta reaches 0-62mph in just 3.1 seconds and 0-124mph in an eye watering 8.5 seconds.
