Maple Kevlar Motorcycle Jeans - Slim Fit 1979 LA

After trying to find a stylish pair of Kevlar lined motorcycle jeans, Dave M. Fairbarn, founded Maple Jeans so that he could ride to work in London and not have to change into office clothes or walk around in heavy textile bike pants all day after his commute.

To kick start the project Dave hired the former Puma creative director Satish Tailor who had previously led the design team for Puma’s MotoGP race suit, to develop the range of Maple Jeans, and the result was the World’s first hand crafted, Kevlar® lined premium Japanese selvedge denim motorcycle jeans.

My favorite of the Maple range are these the Slim Fit 1979 LA jeans, made from 13oz Sanforized (Not Shrink to Fit) Cone Mills, USA selvedge denim and featuring Italian made buttons, rivets and leather patch. 100% terry knit DuPont Kevlar and are cut & sewn in the home of premium denim, downtown Los Angeles. You can also purchase Forcefield CE Approved knee & hip armour if you want them. I absolutely love these and can’t to get a pair!
