Paul Newman Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

Considered the ultimate chronograph, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is one of the most sought after time pieces in the world.

Inspired by racing car drivers and enthusiasts, in particular, actor Paul Newman. He is said to had worn the Daytona his wife gave him every day from 1972 (the same year he started his professional racing career), until his death in 2008. Rolex went on to name the dial on their rarest model 6239, the “Paul Newman” dial, which featured a cream dial, black registers and an art deco style font for the numerals.

Constantly evolving, yet retaining the spirit of its original model, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is a timeless classic, making it a fascinating combination of design, technology and history. Mechanically exceptional, and seemingly perfect, it remains the most iconic watch ever!
